In the wake of the Measure 148 of the SIMPLEX Program in 2007, reporting on the Military in 2009, it will be automatic, so that the citizens will no longer have to travel all the way to the town Hall or to the Consular office of their area of residence.
The process is performed on the basis of the calendar year in which the citizen completes the age of 17. Takes place between bodies and departments of the State which are competent to the purpose, and does not require compliance with any formality on the part of the person.
