All the evidence suggests that a derivative is not registered rabbit. The toponym seems to indicate the presence in abundance of this animal. However it can also be indicative of the existence of the local families with the surname rabbit. The lack of old documentation has not allowed us to investigate which of the meanings is applicable to this place of the Parish.
